About Trowan

Trowan is surrounded by lush green fields, yet is only approximately 1 mile from the bustling town of St Ives. It is an all year round holiday destination with beautiful beaches to relax on in the summer as well as coastal paths and walks to conquer in the winter. It used to be the ancient Manor of Trowan, a small hamlet that pre-dates St Ives by many hundreds of years and which in its heyday of the mid eighteen hundreds provided a home for upwards of one hundred people.

Two years ago the entire hamlet was restored by a specialist development company that has won numerous awards for the quality of its restoration projects. The restoration work was done with the assistance of the National Trust and included the restoration of the old Manor House, farm buildings and ruined former cottages adjacent to Quicks Cottage, some of which are also available to rent.

The hamlet enjoys ample private parking and also has the benefit of great access to the extensive network of local paths, fields and country walks.

In keeping with environmentally aware principles, all buildings on the site have very high standards of insulation and double-glazing and the complex as a whole benefits from rainwater harvesting and an on-site recycling facility.
